Thai Oil Massage
Thai Oil Massage, uses firm pressure and deep rhythmic movements along meridian energy lines of the body. This treatment aims to unblock, balance and restore the body’s natural flow preventing poor health and disease, enabling the body to work efficiently. A mix of stretching, firm pressure, rhythmic massage and rolling techniques are used over the whole body. It is perfect for anyone who is particularly stressed, needs invigorating or balancing, or those who just appreciate a treatment using firmer pressure.
Shiatsu
Shiatsu, or ‘finger pressure’, is a form of bodywork therapy that originated in Japan and it is closely related to acupuncture. The body’s vital energy flows along specific pathways through the body, known as Meridians. Each Meridian is associated with an internal organ after which it is named, for example the Stomach Meridian or Heart Meridian. During a treatment the practitioner applies pressure along these Meridians using fingers, thumbs, palms, elbows and sometimes knees. Pressure is also applied to specific Acupressure Points located along the paths of the Meridians. This has the effect of releasing and balancing the flow of energy within the whole body.
Traditional Balinese Massage
Balinese oil-based massage is a full-body, deep-tissue, holistic treatment. This unique, culturally rich, ancient Asian body work has been practiced for centuries uses a combination of gentle stretches, acupressure, reflexology and aromatherapy to stimulate the flow of blood, oxygen and energy around your body, and bring a sense of wellbeing, calm and deep relaxation.
